Attend Think Like a Researcher workshops

University Libraries are offering Think Like a Researcher workshops to help undergraduate students become comfortable with the research skills and tools needed to participate in research.
Interested in doing research? Level up!

Working in a scientific lab, conducting survey research, and researching historical documents all take new understanding and require students to take their skills to the next level. Think like a Researcher is a series of three workshops during fall semester. It is designed to help undergraduate students become comfortable with the research skills and tools needed to participate in a variety of exciting research and creative opportunities.

Workshop 1: Benefits and Challenges of research; Finding faculty mentors

Workshop 2: Finding Scholarly Literature; Data Management basics
Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016

Workshop 3: Writing Proposals; Designing Posters; Applying for Funding
Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016
4:30-6 p.m.
Walter Library, Room 310

Participants who attend all workshops and complete all requirements will be eligible to receive the Think Like a Researcher Certificate. The workshop series is open to all U of M undergraduate students. Students can decide to attend only those workshops that meet their interests; however, in order to receive a certificate of completion you must attend all workshops and complete short assignments.
