Are you ready to be part of the “coolest” 5K of the year? The Freezin’ for a Reason 5K is a charity race that will be held rain or shine (or blizzard) and take you around the University of Minnesota’s East Bank and West Bank. Both runners and walkers are welcome to participate, as well as community members outside the university.

Runners will receive an awesome long sleeve T-shirt, post-race snacks, and can take photos at the 5K photo booth before or after the race.

Early bird registration runs until Tuesday, Oct. 25 and is $20; after then the registration cost is $25.

All of this year’s race fee will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

If you don't want to participate in the race, you can show your support by volunteering to staff the event. Volunteers can sign up at z.umn.edu/freezin5kvolunteer.
