Academic Advising offers extended drop-in hours Wednesday, Dec. 13

CSE Academic Advising will hold extended drop-in hours on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 1-4 p.m., Lind Hall, Suite 105. You must check in by 3:45 p.m. Normal drop-in advising hours are 2-4 p.m., Monday-Friday until Friday, Dec. 22.

Walter Library open 24-hours a day until Dec. 21

Walter Library will have 24-hour access, seven days a week with your U Card from now until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21. The library has group study space, copy machines, and more.

Important information for students on academic probation

If you are currently on academic probation, the CSE Office of Academic Advising will review your fall semester grades once posted. If you do not meet the terms of your probationary period, you will be notified via email by the end of the day Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, of your academic status.

If you are interested in space, construction, 3D printing, materials, or just being part of something big, consider being part of NASA’s next Centennial Challenge—the 3D-Printed Habitat Challenge. The competition focuses on the 3D-printing fabrication of a scaled habitat design, using indigenous materials combined with or without recyclables, and has a prize purse of $1.7 million.

Apply now for spring semester admission to your major

The CSE Admission to the Major database is now accepting applications for spring semester admission into the major. In order to be eligible to apply this semester, you must have all of the required courses for your chosen major completed by the end of the semester. Most CSE students apply while enrolled in sophomore-level courses.

CSE Expo Project Funding Application open through Friday, Oct. 27

The CSE Expo will be an open-house-style event for 1,500 local 6-8th grade youth featuring U of M student-created hands-on projects representing areas of STEM. Submit an application for funding to be showcased in this year's CSE Expo.
