Apply to the Cargill Global Scholars Program

The Cargill Global Scholars Program is accepting applications from freshmen and sophomore students for their two-year leadership development program.

The Cargill Global Scholars Program is accepting applications for its two-year leadership development program. The Cargill Global Scholars Program provides financial support and leadership development to undergraduate students from around the world. Scholarships will be awarded to talented, high performing students studying in a field relevant to Cargill’s world of food, agriculture, and risk management.

Students in the following fields of interest are encouraged to apply:
  • Agriculture Related Fields
  • Business
  • Computer Science
  •  Economics
  •  Engineering
  •  Food Science
  •  International Relations
  •  Political Science
  •  Public Policy
Ten scholars will be chosen in the United States for the fifth cohort of the Cargill Global Scholars Program. The scholars will receive:
  • Annual scholarship award of $2,500 for up to two years
  • Fully funded travel and participation to attend two Leadership Development Seminars held during Summer 2017 and Summer 2018
  • In-person networking with fellow scholars from Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, and Russia
  • One-on-one mentorship from Cargill executives in the United States and abroad 
Students are eligible if they:
  • Are in their freshman or sophomore year of undergraduate studies
  • Are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Demonstrate high academic performance and leadership potential
The application deadline is Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
