Register for the Engineering Case Competition by Monday, April 17

The Science and Engineering Student Board (SESB) is holding an Engineering Design Competition on Friday, April 21. The competition will pit undergraduate students against each other in a one-day, two-round, design-centered engineering competition.

The Science and Engineering Student Board (SESB) is holding an Engineering Design Competition.

Engineering Design Competition
Friday, April 21, 2017
10 a.m.-8 p.m.

This competition will pit undergraduate students from the same major against each other in a one-day, two-round, design-centered, engineering competition. The students will work in teams of no more than three, in one of five categories to develop a solution to a given problem and then present that solution to a small panel composed of judges from industry and academia. Competitors will be judged on effectiveness and originality of their solution, as well as how they communicate their solution.

There are four competition tracks:
  • Chemical engineering
  • Civil engineering
  • Electrical engineering
  • Mechanical engineering

Prize money will be awarded to the winning teams, and dinner will be provided for all participants.

Register online. Registration closes on Monday, April 17 at 11:59 p.m.
