The Renewable Energy Transition Is a Revolution:
A forum with energy policy leaders from Minnesota and Germany
Monday, Sept. 11, 2017
3:30-5 p.m.
Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs

Germany helped launch the global energy transition by creating the first market for renewable energy. The pace of change and our understanding of what is possible—in Germany, in Minnesota, and across the globe—have grown exponentially.

Panelists will discuss questions such as:

  • What are the arguments for seeing solar pv become our century’s major form of power generation?
  • Why are electric vehicles an exponential technology that may well dominate markets in less than fifteen years?
  • Why is it productive for electric utilities to think of decentralized energy generation as a type of Swiss Army knife?
