The National Science Foundation-sponsored Engineering Research Centers (ERCs) are now
accepting applications from undergraduate students with disabilities for summer 2018
programs.

Located at universities across the country, ERCs provide environments in which academe
and industry collaborate to pursue strategic advances in complex engineered systems and
systems-level technologies that have potential to spawn new industries, or to radically
transform the product lines, processing technologies, or service delivery methodologies of
existing industries.

Each ERC offers unique opportunities to engage in research and discovery. ERC activities lie
at the interface between the discovery-driven culture of science and the innovation-driven
culture of engineering.
