Improve your skills at Think Like a Researcher workshops

University Libraries is offering Think Like a Researcher workshops to help undergraduate students become comfortable with the research skills and tools needed to participate in research.
Interested in doing research? Level up!

Working in a scientific lab, conducting survey research, and researching historical documents all take new understanding and require students to take their skills to the next level. Think like a Researcher workshops are designed to help undergraduate students become comfortable with the research skills and tools needed to participate in a variety of exciting research and creative opportunities.

Workshop topics include:
  • Benefits and Challenges of research; Finding faculty mentors
  • Finding Scholarly Literature; Data Management basics
  • Writing Proposals; Designing Posters; Applying for Funding

Tuesday, Jan. 23 AND Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018 (two sessions)

The free workshop series is open to all University of Minnesota undergraduate students. Students can decide to attend only those workshops that meet their interests, however, in order to receive a certificate of completion you must attend all workshops and complete short assignments.

Participants who attend all workshops and complete all requirements will be eligible to receive the Think Like a Researcher Certificate (and UROP t-shirt).
