Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE) scholarships available for engineering students from southern Minnesota

The Traverse Des Sioux Chapter of the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE) is offering at least one $1,000 scholarship to engineering students entering their junior or senior year. The application deadline is Friday, March 23.

Applications are now being accepted for the Traverse Des Sioux Chapter of MSPE scholarships for engineering students. The application deadline is Friday, March 23, 2018.

Eligibility:
  • Must be full-time students enrolled in an engineering program,
  • Must be considered junior or seniors for the 2018-2019 academic year
  • Must have a permanent address in one of the 17 counties in souther Minnesota within the Traverse Des Sioux Chapter area. Counties included are Blue Earth, Brown, Cottonwood, Faribault, Freeborn, Jackson, Le Sueur, Martin, McCleod, Nicollet, Nobles, Rice, Rock, Sibley, Steele, Waseca, and Watonwan.

Selection criteria:

These criteria will be used by the scholarship committee as the basis for selecting the scholarship recipients. 
  • GPA–30 points
  • Recommendation–10 points
  • Essay–30 points
  • Activities, work experience, and honors–30 points
  • Financial need–20 points
