Hennepin County hosts employment info session on Thursday, Feb. 15

Meet with Hennepin County representatives for an inside look at the departments of interest to CSE students at an information session this week.
Learn about career opportunities!

Hennepin County is the second largest body of government in Minnesota, and is considered one of the best run local governments in the country. County representatives are visiting campus this week to talk with CSE students about a variety of career opportunities that offer the chance to give back to the public while working in a rewarding, engaging environment.

Meet with Hennepin County representatives for an inside look at the departments of interest to CSE students, including:

  • Public Works—Hennepin County manages nearly 600 miles of roads and bridges, as well as hundreds of miles of bike paths, all essential to the county's 1.2 million residents.
  • Facility Services—Approximately 12,000 people enter Hennepin County buildings, ranging from libraries to clinics, every day. Facility Services designs, builds, and maintains these buildings, ensuring they are functional, safe, and inviting to the public and to county employees.  
  • Information Technology—Hennepin County IT ensures the county's 9,000 employees have the tools they need to serve the public. IT delivers innovative, effective, and timely business-driven solutions in a secure, reliable, accessible, and fiscally responsible manner.
  • Open Internships—You also will have an opportunity to learn about open internship positions directly from hiring managers.
