International visa workshops offered Wednesday, Feb. 28 and Monday, March 5

International students interested in pursing an H-1B visa, employment-based visa, or permanent residency after graduation are encouraged to attend a workshop to learn more about the process.

International students can learn more about pursuing a visa or permanent residency at the following workshops.

H-1B Visa Workshop
Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018
4:30-6 p.m.
Blegen Hall, Room 10

An immigration attorney from a local immigration law firm will provide information on H-1B eligibility requirements, the application process, and the necessary timelines. This workshop is specifically for people who are interested in becoming an H-1B for employers other than University of Minnesota.

Employment-based Visas and Permanent Residency Workshop
Monday, March 5, 2018
4:30-6 p.m.
Blegen Hall, Room 10

An immigration attorney from a local law firm will give an overview of employment-based visa options such as H-1B, O-1, and L-1 visas. The second part of the workshop provides information on the process for becoming a permanent resident through employment.
