Walter Library, Bio-Medical Library offer 'maker' spaces for students with design in mind

Walter Library and the Bio-Medical Library are home to two new spaces with design in mind. Open to all University students, they offer free access to 3D printers, embroidery and sewing machines, vinyl cutters, robotics and electronics tools, soldering irons, hot glue guns, rotary tools, prototyping supplies, and more.
Join the makerspaces community!

The Walter Library Breakerspace and the Bio-Medical Library Makerspace are student-driven innovation labs with new maker equipment. They offer free access to 3D printers, embroidery and sewing machines, vinyl cutters, robotics and electronics tools, soldering irons, hot glue guns, rotary tools, prototyping supplies, and more.

Those not familiar with the equipment are encouraged to visit the labs and learn about emerging technologies from fellow students.

The spaces are student driven and staffed by student volunteers. Students interested in helping to help build a maker community are invited to sign up on the Libraries Makerspaces Volunteer Form. No experience is necessary, and all majors are welcome.
