Student volunteers are needed to help at the 2018 CSE Expo, an outreach event for students in grades 6-8.

Volunteer shifts are available from 8 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

All volunteers will receive a free T-shirt, light breakfast, and lunch.

About 2,000 middle school students are expected to attend the event, which features hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math projects and demos created by University of Minnesota students.

Volunteers are needed to help set up and clean up, greet students, and guide them around campus, and more. Tasks will be assigned on the day of the event.

CSE student groups receive a stipend of $100 for every six points earned from volunteering, with a maximum of $200 (12 points) per student group. The points are awarded to volunteer shifts as follows:
  • 8-9 a.m. (1 point)
  • 9-11:30 a.m. (2 points)
  • 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. (2 points)
  • 11:30-2 p.m. (2 points)
  • Noon-2:30 p.m. (2 points)
