The Acara Challenge is an annual spring semester impact venture competition to reward University of Minnesota students creating solutions to social and environmental challenges.

The Acara Challenge is an annual competition to fund students who are developing ideas for financially sustainable social ventures that address social and environmental challenges. Students receive intensive training and mentoring to learn how to best pitch their ideas at the competition, then compete for up to $500 in competition prizes and up to $5,000 in fellowship funding. Applications are accepted from students in all majors and all stages of project development.

Acara Challenge winners can receive up to $5,000 to pay for expenses related to developing their solutions, as well as a $500 prize. All winners receive intensive coaching and training to support them to be successful.
