University of Minnesota Peer Research Consultants provide one-on-one assistance to help you develop research strategies and compose a successful research paper.

The consultants are specifically trained to help you with the following tasks:
  • Find scholarly or academic articles
  • Narrow down your paper topics
  • Create research questions
  • Navigate the University Libraries' website and locate databases for a topic
  • Choose good keywords for searching
  • Evaluate articles and websites
Peer Research Consultants are available by appointment and during walk-in hours at the MCAE Instructional Center in Appleby Hall, International Student and Scholar Services in the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs and Wilson Library on the West Bank, the Bio-Medical Library located on the second floor of Diehl Hall, or at the SMART Learning Commons in Walter Library.
