About the Retreat

The purpose of the iMen Indigenous and Male of Color Retreat is to provide male-identified students of color a place to build community, learn tips and strategies on successfully navigating the college experience, and continue the necessary conversation around masculinity and manhood. The event plans to accomplish these goals through an opening plenary with a keynote speaker, affinity groups, and breakout sessions.

Featured guests are David Stovall, professor of African American Studies, Criminology, and Law and Justice at the University of Illinois-Chicago; and Bryant Smith.
