Sign up by Oct. 18 to volunteer at a high school STEM conference on campus

The University's Institute for Engineering in Medicine is seeking students to serve as Student Ambassadors during the welcome breakfast at its upcoming Inspire Conference for high school students on Friday, Nov. 8, 8:30-9:45 a.m., in McNamara Alumni Center. Sign up by Friday, Oct. 18 to volunteer.
Help inspire the next generation!

The University of Minnesota Institute for Engineering in Medicine is seeking University undergraduate and graduate students to serve as Student Ambassadors during its upcoming Inspire Conference.

The conference aims to inspire high school students grades 10-12 from Minneapolis and St. Paul Public Schools and charter schools, as well as students from small, rural schools in greater Minnesota to pursue future careers in applying science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to better understand, screen for, diagnose, and treat various forms of cancer.

Inspire Conference for High School Students
Friday, Nov. 8, 2019
8:30-9:45 a.m.
McNamara Alumni Center

The Student Ambassadors will:

  • Greet high school student groups as they arrive at McNamara Alumni Center
  • Guide students to their tables in Memorial Hall
  • Guide students to the buffet breakfast in the Commons. 

Ambassadors are welcome to have food and beverages during their shift and are not expected to remain with the students during the conference sessions.
