Take your professor to lunch...for free!

Want to get to know your professors and classmates better? Take advantage of the Take Your Professor to Lunch program. The University will pick up the bill up to $11 per person when you and at least two other classmates take your professor to lunch. The program is sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Education.
Take Your Professor to Lunch!

Getting to know your faculty is a great way to not only succeed in the class, but also network for research experience, gain insight into the field, and build a connection for a future letter of recommendation. If you are an undergraduate in a class of 30 or more students, the University will pick up the bill up to $11 per person when you and at least two other classmates take your professor to lunch.

Here's how it works:
  • Talk to a professor (in an undergraduate class of 30 students or more) that you'd like to get to know better and find out if they'd be willing to participate.
  • Gather 3-7 classmates, including yourself, and decide on the lunch date with the professor.
  • Check out the list of eligible restaurants and pick a place to eat.
  • Gather the necessary information and apply!
Pick a date and apply before the end of fall semester.

Fall semester submissions will be accepted through Wednesday, Dec. 4 and the last day to attend a lunch is Wednesday, Dec. 11. Requests must be submitted at least one week in advance of the lunch date desired.

All you have to do is plan the lunch, pick a place, apply, and enjoy!
