Use a safety escort when on campus late

If you're on campus late, call for a security escort, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week on all campuses and locations within a mile of campus. You can also call the Gopher Chauffeur for a ride any evening.

If you are studying late on campus, use the University of Minnesota's security escort or Gopher Chauffeur services.

Security Escort Service 24/7
Trained security escorts are available to walk or bike with anyone 24 hours a day, seven days a week on all campuses and nearby adjacent neighborhoods. This free service is provided by the University of Minnesota Police Department.

Gopher Chauffeur
The Gopher Chauffeur is a free transportation service for University of Minnesota students Sunday-Wednesday, 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. and Thursday-Saturday, 10 p.m.-2:30 a.m. All Gopher Chauffeur drivers, navigators, and dispatchers are hired by Boynton Health Service and are CPR certified and trained in first aid.
