Pre-major (lower-division) students: It's time to schedule your academic advising appointment or group registration workshop in order to register for spring semester.

Apply for spring admission to your major

The CSE Admission to the Major database will begin accepting applications for spring semester admission into the major on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Most CSE students apply while enrolled in sophomore-level courses. The deadline to apply is Monday, Dec. 30.

Meet and greet with Homecoming Parade Grand Marshal and CSE alumna Michele Brekke on Friday, Oct. 4

Join the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics (AEM) for a complimentary meet and greet with former NASA flight manager and CSE alumna Michele Brekke, the 2019 Homecoming Parade Grand Marshal. Brekke, who currently serves as a flight manager at Boeing, will share her career journey and take questions on Friday, Oct. 4, 10-11:45 a.m., in Akerman Hall.

A panel of recent University of Minnesota graduates will share their experiences and advice about their major and career exploration as a student, as well as after graduation, at the "Find Your Path" event on Thursday, Oct. 10, noon-1 p.m. at McNamara Alumni Center. The event will benefit any student who is exploring majors or careers.

Apply for a Bolton and Menk's University of Minnesota Scholarship by Friday, Nov. 1

Lower- and upper-division students who are on track to receive a degree from the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geo- Engineering (CEGE) are eligible for a Bolton & Menk's Scholarship worth up to $8,000 ($2,000 per year for up to four years). The application deadline is Friday, Nov. 1.
