Apply to the Cargill Global Scholars Program by Thursday, March 5

The Cargill Global Scholars Program is accepting applications from freshmen and sophomore students for their two-year leadership development program. Application deadline is Friday, March 5.

The Cargill Global Scholars Program is accepting applications for its two-year leadership development program. Scholarships will be awarded to talented, high performing students pursuing science, technology, engineering, math, international relations, and business-related studies.

The Cargill Global Scholars Program provides financial support and leadership development to undergraduate students from around the world through seminars, networking, presentations, one-on-one mentoring, and an alumni network.

Students in these fields of interest are encouraged to apply:

  • Agriculture-related fields
  • Biochemistry
  • Biology
  • Business
  • Computer or data science
  • Engineering
  • Environmental studies and sustainability
  • Food science
  • International relations

  • Ten scholars will be chosen in the United States for the eighth cohort of the Cargill Global Scholars Program. The scholars will receive:
    • Annual scholarship award of $2,500 for up to two years
    • Fully funded travel and participation to attend two leadership development seminars held during summer 2020 and summer 2021
    • In-person networking with fellow scholars from Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, and Russia
    • One-on-one mentorship from Cargill executives in the United States and abroad
    • Membership in the Cargill Global Scholars Alumni community
    Students are eligible if they:
    • Are in their freshmen or sophomore year of undergraduate studies
    • Are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
    • Demonstrate high academic performance and leadership potential
