Review updated course deadlines!

The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost has announced extended deadlines for grading basis changes from A/F to S/N, as well as for withdrawal from spring courses.

Grading basis changes

The deadline to change your grading basis for any course has been extended to Thursday, April 30, 2020. Grading base changes will not be allowed after the deadline and decisions will be considered final. Students who wish to change their course grading basis may log into MyU to do so.

In support of students during the COVID-19 pandemic, all University of Minnesota Twin Cities undergraduate students have the option to change their grading basis for undergraduate courses from A/F to S/N (satisfactory/not satisfactory) for any number of spring 2020 and/or B-term (second half of term) courses.

You are encouraged to be thoughtful as you decide whether or not to change grading basis for any or all of your spring 2020 courses. Consult with your academic advisor or your department's director of undergraduate studies.

Please review the Twin Cities S/N grading basis FAQ for answers to common questions regarding this change. If you have additional questions, please contact your academic advisor.

Course withdrawals

The last day to cancel classes without college approval has been extended to Friday, May 1, 2020, for full semester and second seven-week session classes. If you choose to cancel a class, you will receive a ‘W’ on your transcript.
