Register for the engineering virtual career panel on Thursday, Nov. 5

CSE students are invited to attend the "Engineering Career Development" virtual panel with engineering professionals on Thursday, Nov. 5 as part of the 2020 Minnesota Power Systems Conference (MIPSYCON). The panel event is free to CSE students.

CSE students are invited to attend the "Engineering Career Development" virtual panel with engineering professionals as part of the 2020 Minnesota Power Systems Conference (MIPSYCON). 

All CSE students are welcome to attend the Engineering Career Development portion of the MIPSYCON free of charge.

"Engineering Career Development" Virtual Panel
Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020
8:30-11:45 a.m. Central Time

The first 90 minutes will feature several engineering panelists who are early in their careers, and the second 90 minutes will feature leaders who will provide insights on what they look for in candidates.

Panelists will share perspectives and insights regarding how engineers can develop their skills and navigate their career paths. The scheduled panelists are:

  • Denny Branca, Electro-Tech, Inc.
  • Mythili Chaganti, CenterPoint Energy
  • Anna Corman, Burns and McDonnell
  • Mike Jensen, Xcel Energy
  • Kerby Nester, Great River Energy
  • Mark Pederson, Burns and McDonnell
  • Wanda Reder, Grid-X Partners, LLC
While the program is geared toward working engineers in the power utility industry, the advice and tips shared will be just as applicable to students in any engineering discipline. 

To sign up for the free panel discussion, email ccapsconf4@umn.edu and indicate that you are a CSE student. Prior to the panel, registrants will receive a Zoom access link.
