The discussion will address questions about how to navigate aspects of identity in the workplace.

The workplace can be demanding for most without the additional stress of managing how you will be perceived by others based on your identity, navigating opportunities or advancement, finding community, and support. Many have questions about how to navigate aspects of their identity in the workplace. This panel event will allow for community building and dialogue, and attendees will have an opportunity to participate in dialogue during the last 20-30 minutes.

Hear from alumnae panelists about strategies to:
  • Assess cultural beliefs, attitudes, and accessibility in the workplace
  • Develop a supportive community
  • Leverage your identity and skills
  • Deal with "imposter syndrome"
  • Pursue career progression

  • Peter J. Campion, doctoral candidate, guest lecturer, and consultant; UMN Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development

UMAA webinars and online sessions are free to University students and alumni, and most are also free and available to the public.
