All members of the University community are encouraged to practice physical distancing, wear face coverings, and practice good health habits to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. In addition to these proven public health measures, the University is launching a systemwide COVID-19 mail order saliva test program for faculty, staff, and students.

The program provides an additional option for members of the University community who are concerned about a possible exposure to COVID-19. As part of the University’s overall COVID-19 testing strategy, one mail order saliva test from Vault Health is provided at no cost.

University students, faculty, and staff systemwide will receive a personalized email containing a dedicated code in the coming weeks. The email will include instructions for going to the Vault Health website to request a saliva test that will be mailed directly to your home.

Additional tests may be purchased directly from Vault Health.

For individuals who are symptomatic, part of a case investigation, or have had a confirmed exposure to a positive COVID-19 case, please review the University’s MTest protocols.

For additional information, please review the COVID-19 Saliva Testing Program FAQ or send an email to healthresponse@umn.edu
