New website provides resources for the CSE community during COVID-19

The College of Science and Engineering (CSE) is committed to providing important information and updates during COVID-19 to our students, faculty, staff, and alumni. We have created a new website that is a comprehensive repository of resources for the CSE community.

Join College of Science and Engineering Dean Mos Kaveh on Friday, Sept. 11, 2-3 p.m. for a CSE undergraduate student town hall meeting and Q&A session. Get the latest information about how COVID-19 will affect a variety of operations within CSE and what the college is doing in regard to social justice issues. Submit your questions and join on Zoom.

CSE Student Services is here to support you with remote access to all services

CSE Student Services staff members remain committed to supporting students and enhancing the undergraduate experience—even during these uncertain times. Academic Advising, Career Center, and Collegiate Life have transitioned to remote delivery of services. Staff members are available to assist students via video conferencing, phone, and email.

Academic Advising offers extended virtual drop-in hours on Tuesday, Sept. 8

CSE Academic Advising will hold extended virtual drop-in advising hours on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., via Zoom at the CSE Academic Advising drop-in appointments webpage. You must check in by 3:45 p.m. Normal drop-in advising hours are 2-4 p.m., Monday-Friday and will resume Wednesday, Sept. 9 via Zoom.

Prepare for the Fall CSE Virtual Career Fair

The Fall 2020 CSE Career Fair is going virtual! Mark your calendar for Tuesday, Sept. 29 and Wednesday, Sept. 30 and start preparing now. More than 160 employers are registered to connect with students.

Do your part to slow the spread of COVID-19

Staying safe during COVID-19 takes all of us. That's why the Office of Student Affairs, in partnership with University Relations, has launched the Gophers Protecting Gophers campaign. Share selfies of yourself wearing a mask, and you could win prizes.

The start of the semester is a stressful time for everyone, and it's normal to feel overwhelmed or anxious. If you or someone you know is dealing with mental health issues, you have multiple resources available to help.

Sign up to be matched with an industry mentor through the award-winning CSE Mentor Program. The registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 25. We expect that this year's program will be mainly virtual.
