Register for the Penn State Global Engineering Engagement spring conference, submit discussion proposals and video contest entries

Penn State’s Center for Global Engineering Engagement (GEE) is now accepting proposal and video contest submissions for its virtual conference, "Engineering Your Global Experiences: Building Global Competencies for the Future Engineering Workforce," scheduled for Thursday, April 1. The conference is free and registration is required.

The conference will include a keynote speaker, networking opportunities, workshops, and panel discussions.

Register for the virtual conference

The conference will provide students an opportunity to develop and apply skills needed to collaborate across international boundaries and intercultural perspectives that lead to global solutions to global problems and positively impact society. Students also will engage in professional development as they connect with industry partners and colleagues from peer institutions in the United States.

Students are invited to submit panel discussion proposals that address one or more of the conference themes:
  • Building global competencies in engineering students
  • Diverse perspectives for engineering effective solutions
  • Engineering for humanity

Students also are invited to submit a video presentation up to five minutes in length in the style of a TED talk on the topic "Engineering Impact on the World."

The deadline to submit panel discussion proposals and video content entries is Monday, Feb. 15.

The conference is free, but registration is required. The conference registration deadline is Friday, March 19.
