Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program proposals due Monday, Oct. 11

Submit your proposal to the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) to do research with a faculty mentor during Spring 2022 and receive a stipend of up to $1,500. The application deadline is Monday, Oct. 11.

About UROP

UROP offers funding to University of Minnesota undergraduate students to work on a research project with a faculty mentor. UROP provides a stipend of up to $1,500 for approximately 120 hours of research.

To apply:
  • Write a three-page project proposal that explains your research question, project goals, context, impacts, methodology, and significance, research plan, and expected outcome(s)
  • Complete the online application form
  • Have your faculty mentor complete the Faculty Recommendation Form

Spring 2022 applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, 2021.
