SMART peer tutors offer free academic support

The University of Minnesota's SMART Peer Tutors provide free academic support for more than 250 subject areas for currently enrolled undergraduate students. Students can schedule individual online appointments or join an online drop-in session.

Peer Tutors provide support for more than 250 subject areas at no additional cost for currently enrolled undergraduate students. Students can schedule individual online appointments or join an online drop-in session.

Peer tutoring can:
  • Motivate self-paced and self-directed learning
  • Encourage the use of appropriate and efficient learning and study strategies
  • Increase confidence in class work and participation
Peer tutoring is available both online and in person at:
  • Walter Library
  • Wilson Library
  • Magrath Library
  • Bailey Hall
