MATHCOUNTS is a nationwide middle school math enrichment program providing engaging math programs to middle school students of all ability levels to build confidence and improve attitudes about math and problem solving. Each February, the Engineering Alliance Minnesota student chapter partners with local engineers to bring Minneapolis middle school students to campus for a local competition. These students will compete in several written and oral math rounds, hoping to advance to the state and national competitions. MATHCOUNTS needs student volunteers to ensure that this event runs smoothly.

The Minnesota program is coordinated by volunteers members of the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers.

A variety of volunteer shifts are available between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. Interested volunteers should complete the volunteer sign-up form.
