Join the CSE community for “The State of Science and the Need for STEM Advocacy,” the second installment of the Rising to the Moment public lecture series, on Tuesday, April 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the Coffman Memorial Union Theater. The lecture examines how the pandemic has impacted public perceptions of science and the importance of diversity and equity in STEM. CSE Dean Andrew Alleyne will make opening remarks. The lecture is free and open to the public. Advance registration is requested.

The lecture will feature Dr. Jayshree Seth, 3M corporate scientist and the company’s first chief science advocate. Dr. Seth will discuss her unique role at 3M and the importance of diversity and equity in STEM. CSE Dean Andrew Alleyne will make opening remarks.
