Employers use Handshake to look for qualified student employees and are able to see students who are “top matches” for open positions. Having a complete Handshake profile increases your chances of being a top match. Keep your education, work and project experience, and interests up to date to help employers understand the roles and positions you're seeking.

Handshake will provide you with personalized job recommendations based on the information you enter on your profile, allowing you to discover jobs and internships that are relevant to you. Employers are also more likely to proactively reach out to you with job opportunities and event invitations if your profile is complete.

Update your Education, Work and Project Experience, and especially the Your Interests sections so employers can understand the roles and positions you are seeking. 

You can also meet with a career counselor for a Handshake profile review and to understand how to use this platform to look for open positions, conduct employer research, and learn about career events. Make a profile review appointment.
