All CSE students who have not yet been admitted to their major (lower division) are required to meet with their academic advisor prior to registration for fall semester classes. Please note that registration will not begin until later in April, but advisors will begin seeing students in late February, and you are strongly encouraged to schedule now, as appointments fill up quickly.
Schedule your academic advising appointment now. Schedule your appointment on the CSE Advising website or by calling 612-624-2890.
To prepare for your appointment, review your APAS and the four-year plan for your intended major, create a list of classes you plan to take next semester, and write down any questions you have for your advisor. You can find more helpful information on preparing for

If you are unsure about what the registration hold on your records means, please refer to the CSE advising holds blog post for information on holds and the steps you need to take to have them removed.
CSE students who have been admitted to their major (upper division) should contact their department for registration advising.
Please note that academic advising appointments are covered by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). You have the right to keep your academic information private, including the right to a one-on-one appointment with your advisor. Your advisor will expect that
you will be the only one present in the room during your appointment. If you schedule your appointment for Zoom, please arrange for a private, quiet location in which to hold your appointment. If you are unable to access a private location, please contact your advisor at least
48 business hours in advance of your appointment.
