Major/Minor Expo Week is Feb. 15-19

The Center for Academic Planning and Exploration, along with the Office of Undergraduate Education, is hosting a week of virtual exploration to answer questions, give advice, and offer guidance about the University of Minnesota's 140+ majors and minors during Major/Minor Expo Week Monday, Feb. 15-Friday, Feb. 19.

Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program proposals due Monday, Feb. 22

Submit your proposal to the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) to do research with a faculty mentor during Summer 2021 and receive stipends of up to $1,500. The application deadline is Monday, Feb. 22.

Attend the BBE Programs Virtual Sneak Peek on Wednesday, Feb. 24

The Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering (BBE) will host a virtual sneak peek event for students to explore its program areas of specialization on Wednesday, Feb. 24. There also will be a virtual sneak peek at the Sustainable Systems Management (SSM) undergraduate major on Wednesday, March 3.

More than 300 companies and organizations will be recruiting for hundreds of jobs and internships at the University of Minnesota Virtual Job and Internship Fair Friday, Feb. 26, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., hosted on GoldPASS powered by Handshake.

Register for the SWE Jamboree virtual conference on Saturday, March 13

Register now for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Jamboree. This fun, virtual conference-style event is dedicated to building camaraderie and excitement about engineering and other STEM disciplines. The event is Saturday, March 13. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Apply by March 19 for the SWE-MN scholarships for women engineering and computer science students

Applications are now being accepted for 12 Minnesota Section of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE-MN) fall scholarships for women engineering and computer science students at schools in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The application deadline is Friday, March 19, 2021.

The Minnesota Technical Assistance Program (MnTAP) is accepting applications for its 2021 summer intern program and is seeking students to fill up to 20 positions. Applications can be submitted at any time until all positions are filled.
