The University of Minnesota Center for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL) will host virtual information sessions this month on the Community Engagement Scholars Program (CESP) for students who want to make a committment to community engagement during their undergraduate experience. If you have not yet decided on your plans for fall 2021, consider applying for the Master of Financial Mathematics (MFM). The MFM degree prepares you to enter the field of quantitative finance and related domains that combine mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer, and data science skills within the applied context of finance. In order to be eligible to apply this semester, you must have all of the required courses for your chosen major completed by the end of the semester. In order to improve accessibility, the website format for the CSE four-year plans has changed. The plans will no longer be in PDF format, but instead will be fully integrated web pages. The plans will still be able to be printed on a single page from the web in Google Chrome.

Updated for Spring 2021: Safe Campus website provides resources during COVID-19

In preparation for the spring semester, the University has updated the Safe Campus website and developed a detailed strategy focused on reducing the spread of COVID-19. The Spring 2021 Guide contains information about returning to campus, housing, and much more. The MTest site at RecWell will hold special testing clinics at the start of the semester.

Academic Advising offers extended virtual drop-in hours on Tuesday, Jan. 19

CSE Academic Advising will hold extended virtual drop-in advising hours on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Central Time, via Zoom at the CSE Academic Advising drop-in appointments webpage. You must check in by 3:45 p.m. Normal drop-in advising hours are 2-4 p.m. Central Time, Monday-Friday and will resume Wednesday, Jan. 20 via Zoom.

Last day to add a class without instructor approval is Monday, Jan. 25

If you still need to add a class to your Spring 2021 schedule, Monday, Jan. 25 is the last day to do so without needing instructor approval.
