Join the Center for Academic Planning and Excellence for a week of virtual events designed to help students explore majors at the University of Minnesota. Workshops are scheduled for various times Monday, Oct. 18-Friday, Oct. 22, both in person and online. Some sessions require pre-registration, so sign up early.

The CSE Engineering Co-op Program provides students with hands-on experience working as an engineer. Co-ops are generally more in-depth than traditional internships, and students commit to working 40 hours per week for two semesters. Graduating seniors: Check your Expected Graduation Term to ensure you receive your commencement invitation

Students expecting to participate in the May 2022 CSE commencement ceremony are encouraged to check their Expected Graduation Term (EGT) to make sure they'll receive their invitation to the ceremony. Students whose EGT is Fall 2021, Spring 2022, May/Summer 2022, or Fall 2022 will be eligible when registration opens Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021.  

Apply for a Stantec Equity and Diversity Scholarship by Thursday, Nov. 18

Stantec is accepting applications from students in historically underrepresented and Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) groups for its Equity and Diversity Scholarship Program. Award values may range between $1,500 and $10,000 based on specific needs. Ten paid internships also may be available to applicants. The application deadline is Thursday, Nov. 18.

Apply for spring admission to your major

The CSE Admission to the Major database is now accepting applications for spring semester admission into the major. Most CSE students apply while enrolled in sophomore-level courses. In order to be eligible to apply this semester, you must have all of the required courses for your chosen major completed by the end of the semester. The deadline to apply is Thursday, Dec. 30.
