Employers host virtual info sessions this week

Employers Koch Industries and Itron will host virtual career information sessions for CSE students this week.

Attend the WISE and Bakken Medical Devices Center Ideation Workshop on Tuesday, Feb. 16

College of Science and Engineering students are invited to the college's virtual Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) and Earl E. Bakken Medical Devices Center (BMDC) Ideation Workshop on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 5 p.m. for a sneak peak to the BMDC's product development and innovation processes. Attendees also will learn about the center's internship program.

Attend the first-year physics tutoring event Feb. 17 on Zoom

Get connected with others in your physics lecture in the next first-year physics study session on Zoom on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 4-6 p.m. All students are invited to participate. The event is organized by the college's Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Initiative.

Attend the 'CSE: Around the World' global virtual information session on Thursday, Feb. 18

CSE International Ambassadors and CSE International Programs will host a virtual information session on ways to get involved with the many CSE programs around the globe on Thursday, Feb. 18, 5-7 p.m.

Attend the Virtual CSE Student Groups Fair on Friday, Feb. 19

Looking for more community and activity in your college experience? Want to meet new friends with whom you share a major or common interests? Attend the CSE Virtual Student Group Fair on Friday, Feb. 19, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. to learn more about CSE student groups and which ones you might like to join. Drop in as you can. More than 20 science and engineering student groups will be represented.

Johnson scholarship offers up to $5,000 to future entrepreneurs

Applications are being accepted for the Lynn Johnson-Johnson Brothers Memorial Scholarship in Entrepreneurship for up to $5,000. Application deadline is Monday, March 15.

Register for UMAA 'Maroon and Gold Connections' virtual career networking on Feb. 25

The University of Minnesota Alumni Association (UMAA) will host the "Maroon and Gold Connections" virtual career networking event on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. The interactive event is free and open to students and alumni of all colleges, industries, and career levels.

Apply for an Acara Innovation Fellowship in the Acara Challenge, an annual spring semester impact venture competition to reward University of Minnesota students for creating solutions to social and environmental challenges. The application deadline is Sunday, Feb. 28.
