Employers MEDITECH and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will host virtual information sessions for CSE students this week. You can also register for the Columbia University Data Science Institute's webinar, "Behavioral and Social Sciences During the COVID-19 Pandemic."

Register for the May 'Think Like a Researcher' online mini-course

University Libraries is offering the May 2022 "Think Like a Researcher" online mini-course to help undergraduate students become comfortable with the skills and tools needed to participate in research. A certificate of completion is available for participants who complete the mini-course and all topic discussion posts by Sunday, June 5.

Submit your research for the 2023 Minnesota Undergraduate Research and Academic Journal

Are you completing a research project this semester and would like to have it published? Undergraduate students are invited to submit their research for publication in next year's edition of the Minnesota Undergraduate Research and Academic Journal (MURAJ), a student-run academic journal dedicated to the research of undergraduate students at the University of Minnesota. Students graduating spring semester 2022 are especially encouraged to submit their research.

Register now for “The State of Science and the Need for STEM Advocacy,” the second installment of the Rising to the Moment public lecture series, on Tuesday, April 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the Coffman Memorial Union Theater. The lecture examines how the pandemic has impacted public perceptions of science and the importance of diversity and equity in STEM. CSE Dean Andrew Alleyne will make opening remarks. The lecture is free and open to the public. Advance registration is requested.

Apply for the NASA Pathways Internship Program

The NASA Pathways Internship Program is accepting applications beginning Monday, April 11. The program is the only internship program at NASA that offers a direct pipeline to full-time employment at NASA upon graduation.

Apply for the SWE-MN scholarships for women in engineering and computer science by Friday, May 20

Applications are now being accepted for nine Minnesota Section of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE-MN) fall scholarships for women engineering and computer science students at schools in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The application deadline is Friday, May 20, 2022.

Apply to the Cargill thrive scholarship program by Sunday, April 17

The Cargill thrive scholarship program is accepting applications from sophomore and junior undergraduate students for the Fall 2022 semester. Selected students will receive a $5,000 scholarship for the academic year 2022-23, awarded in increments of $2,500 each semester. Application deadline is Sunday, April 17.
