Meet global Sony engineers: What’s it like to work at Sony Japan?

Current and recently graduated bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. students, as well as postdoctoral researchers, are invited to attend this event featuring engineers from Sony’s Tokyo office.
The event will feature a Sony company introduction, an engineer presentation session with a Q&A, details on technical job descriptions, and information on the recruitment timeline and tips.
The engineers participating in the event represent teams that are actively hiring interns and full-time employees for 2024-25. This event offers attendees a unique opportunity to learn about open positions listed on Sony’s careers website.
The website features more than 40 internship and full-time opportunities for STEM students, primarily in computer science and engineering. Areas of focus include:
- Artificial intelligence (machine learning)
- Software engineering
- Speech synthesis/recognition
- Natural language processing
- Security
- Electrical engineering
- Robotics
- Computational photography
- Computer vision
- Computer graphics
- Data analysis
All positions are located in Japan, primarily in or near Tokyo.
Interviews will be conducted in English, and most roles (95%) do not require Japanese language skills, though an interest in Japanese culture is considered a plus. Sony provides full financial and logistical support for visas and relocation for both full-time employees and interns as part of the onboarding process.
