Site Visit Agenda
11:15 a.m. – Departure from Lind Hall
- Gather in Lind Hall 105.
- Walk as a group to the light rail and take the Green Line to Target Field.
11:45 a.m. – Arrival at Target Field
- Meet at Gate 6 for check-in.
Noon – Tour Begins
- Welcome and introduction to how data science is integrated into baseball.
- Explore the cutting-edge technology and analytics used by the Minnesota Twins to enhance player performance and fan engagement.
1 p.m. – Special Meet and Greet
- Engage with Minnesota Twins front office members specializing in computer science and data science.
- Opportunity to ask questions and learn about the intersection of technology and sports.
2 p.m. – Tour Ends
- Final remarks on computer science applications in baseball.
- Participants may explore Target Field further or visit the gift shop.
Please wear comfortable shoes, as there will be lots of walking involved. Feel free to use your phone or bring a camera to capture memorable moments during the tour!
Each participant will receive a BOGO coupon code to use for a Twins game. The tour has a fee, but it will be covered by CSE Student Services, so you can attend for free. Please ensure you are able to attend, as cancellations are costly.
