What you need to know before you accept a job offer

The College of Science and Engineering (CSE) understands the competitive and deadline-driven process of employee recruiting. To reduce the likelihood of students feeling pressured to make hasty decisions to accept then renege on a job offer, employers are asked to adhere to CSE recruiting policies. If you receive an offer that doesn’t meet these guidelines, you can share the policies directly with the company and ask for more time to decide.

For job and internship offers given in the fall semester, employers are asked to allow students at least three weeks from the date of the offer to make their decision. For co-op offers, the offer should remain open for two weeks.
