Learn more about the Technical University of Munich's Practical Research Experience (TUM PREP) program and the application process at this virtual info session. The TUM PREP 2025 program offers students the opportunity to choose from more than 75 research projects across seven different TUM schools, covering a variety of subject areas at TUM campuses in Munich, Garching, and Freising.
This summer's research program will run from Tuesday, July 1 to Friday, Aug. 22, 2025.

Participants of TUM PREP will take part in a kick-off orientation and a framework program that includes networking events, day trips, and lectures. The program provides valuable research experience at Germany's leading university, with all activities conducted in English. Accommodation is arranged through the Student Union Munich, and students will receive a transcript, certificates, and 10 ECTS credits. The program will conclude with a closing event.
Applications and all documents are due by Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024.
You are encouraged to apply for three research projects to increase your chances of being accepted. TUM PREP will try to place students in their projects of choice and plans to complete the selection process by the end of January 2025.
Students will be informed of their admission to the program between mid-December 2024 and the end of January 2025.
