What can I accomplish during advising drop-ins?
Drop-ins are five- to 10-minute meetings with an on-duty CSE college academic advisor. During these sessions, you can discuss topics such as:
  • Reviewing your APAS report
  • Connecting with campus resources
  • Understanding liberal education requirements
  • Addressing academic policy questions
  • Withdrawing from a course or using your one-time-only late withdrawal
How can I access advising drop-ins?
You can find more information about academic advising drop-ins, including the Zoom link for joining remote drop-in advising on Mondays, on the Academic Advising Appointments and Drop-Ins webpage. For in-person advising, available Monday through Friday, students should check in at the front desk in 105 Lind Hall. Be sure to check in by 3:45 p.m. to meet with an academic advisor that day.

Can I get my OA, DS, or any other hold removed during drop-in advising?
No, lower-division students must meet with their assigned college advisor for a required registration meeting to have their OA hold removed. Upper-division students must meet with their departmental advisor to have their DS hold removed.

For any other hold, review the hold type in MyU and follow the included instructions for removal. Visit the One Stop Student Services Holds webpage for instructions on viewing holds.
