Study in Hong Kong this summer

Enjoy the summer in Hong Kong by taking classes at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) International Summer Exchange Program. The nomination deadline is Thursday, Feb. 13 and HKUST's online applications are due Friday, Feb. 28.

CSE students have the opportunity to take classes during the summer at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) International Summer School

to experience the different ways of learning in different cultures through classes while trying new

A variety of courses are available and some examples of equivalent courses are:
  • STAT3011: Introduction to Statistical Analysis
  • MATH2142: Elementary Linear Algebra
  • PHYS1302W: Introductory Physics for Science and Engineering II 
  • AEM3031: Deformable Body Mechanics
  • CSCI2011: Discrete Structures
  • CSCI4707: Practice of Database Systems

Additionally, there are various liberal education courses available, including those in tech and society, environment, arts and humanities, and social science.

Travel dates are either Thursday June 12-Sunday, July 13 or Thursday, July 10-Sunday, Aug. 10 2025.

During the eight-week program, students will live on campus and participate in cultural activities, campus and city tours, and more.
