The Code Freeze 2024 software engineering symposium will explore the boundary between human ingenuity and machine capability, and dive into the radical transformations that AI is bringing to the industry. This year’s theme, "AI for SE for AI," explores the interplay between artificial intelligence in software engineering and vice versa.

From code completion to AI that self-optimizes, the event will examine AI from generative and derivative perspective, and explore the sociotechnical impacts of their intersection. Planned discussion and presentation topics include LLMs, MLOps, prompt engineering, chatbot wars (and who's winning), deep learning in observability, software project management for AI, NLP for documentation, and more!

A limited number of $79 student early-bird registrations still may be available, so register soon. The regular student registration cost is $99. Code Freeze is hosted by the University of Minnesota Software Engineering Center (UMSEC).
