Graduating Seniors: Register for Commencement by Friday, April 12

The registration deadline for students planning to participate in the 2024 CSE Commencement Ceremony is quickly approaching. This is a separate process in addition to submitting your Application for Degree. The registration deadline is Friday, April 12. 

Practising Law Institute info session is Wednesday, April 3

The Practising Law (PLI) will host an information session for CSE students to learn about careers as a patent agent on Wednesday, April 3, at 4 p.m. The session also will include information about the exam required to become a patent agent.

Attend The Internship and Job Recruitment Journey: Advice for International Students from Experts on Friday, April 5, 12-1 p.m. to gain invaluable insights into the recruitment process. Learn tips and tricks about resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn, and effective communication with employers.  

Register by April 8 for the Milliman Actuarial and Consulting site visit on Thursday, April 11

Register for a site visit to Milliman Actuarial and Consulting in Bloomington on Thursday, April 11, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The site visit will include a lunch-and-learn event, featuring an office tour, presentation, and networking session. For students unable to attend in person, there will also be a virtual presentation. The registration deadline is Monday, April 8. 

Apply for the MSPE scholarship for engineering students by Friday, May 3

The Traverse Des Sioux Chapter of the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE) is offering a $1,000 scholarship to engineering students who will be juniors or seniors in 2024-25 and have a permanent address in one of the chapter's 17 counties. Apply by Friday, May 3.

MN Cup, the largest statewide new startup competition in the United States, is now accepting applications for 2024. MN Cup provides opportunities for mentoring, educational resources, and cash prizes. Over $400,000 in prize money will be given away to competitors, with no equity taken or strings attached. Participate in a mental health focus group for CSE students

CSE and the public health team at Boynton Health are interested in your experiences and opinions about student mental health in CSE, and invite you to apply to participate in a focus group via Zoom or in-person with members of the Boynton public health team. Focus group meetings are in late March and April. Apply by Wednesday, March 20. Participants will receive a $25 Target gift card.

Employer RSM invites interested sophomores who are in the early stages of exploring their career paths and seeking hands-on conference experience to apply for the RSM Race to Crack the Case Conference. During the conference students will participate in teams to complete a virtual escape room using Alteryx. The application deadline is Saturday, April 6.

Applications are now being accepted for 18 Minnesota Section of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE-MN) fall scholarships for engineering and computer science students at schools in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The application deadline is Saturday, March 30.
