What you need to know before you accept a job offer

The College of Science and Engineering (CSE) understands the competitive and deadline-driven process of employee recruiting. To reduce the likelihood of students feeling pressured to make hasty decisions to accept then renege on a job offer, employers are asked to adhere to CSE recruiting policies. If you receive an offer that doesn’t meet these guidelines, you can share the policies directly with the company and ask for more time to decide.
Don't be pressured to take that job!

Employers should allow students to fully participate in recruiting activities including career fairs, information sessions, networking events, and on-campus interviews. In addition, employers should strive to give adequate time to students to fully consider a job offer and must refrain from any practice that places unreasonable pressure on students, as defined by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE)’s Principles for Ethical Professional Practice.
