The Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) Scholarship Program prepares students for leadership roles in the Navy and Marine Corps, serving as the largest source of commissioned officers. The program offers full scholarships through a highly competitive national selection process. Recipients receive full tuition, a book stipend, coverage of educational fees, and other financial benefits—or room and board—at top colleges and universities nationwide. Upon graduation, midshipmen are commissioned as officers in the Navy or Marine Corps.

The Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) Scholarship Program prepares students for leadership roles in the Navy and Marine Corps, serving as the largest source of commissioned officers. Through rigorous education and training, students are equipped for service in the Navy’s unrestricted line communities, the Navy Nurse Corps, and the Marine Corps.


The program offers full scholarships through a highly competitive national selection process. Recipients receive full tuition, a book stipend, coverage of educational fees, and other financial benefits—or room and board—at top colleges and universities nationwide. Upon graduation, midshipmen are commissioned as officers in the Navy or Marine Corps.

Scholarships are available now for sophomore undergraduates, with opportunities also open to freshmen and juniors. Full scholarships are awarded to qualified candidates on a rolling basis through July 2025. Apply early for a faster decision.
