First-year students: Learn about studying in Guatemala at info session on Tuesday, Nov. 12

Attend an information session on Tuesday, Nov. 12, noon-1 p.m., Lind Hall to learn about studying in Guatemala. During spring break 2025, Professor Edgar Arriaga will lead the Freshman Seminar on Sustainability and Green Chemistry in Guatemala, where students will travel to his home country to explore sustainability practices in depth. The deadline to apply is Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024. 
Learn abroad in Guatemala!

Attend an information session to learn about studying in Guatemala. During spring break 2025, Professor Edgar Arriaga will lead the Freshman Seminar on Sustainability and Green Chemistry in Guatemala, where students will travel to his home country to explore sustainability practices in depth. 

The program will include visits to Lake Atitlán and a Mayan archaeological site, along with opportunities for interaction with Guatemalan students throughout the semester.

This Freshman Seminar Abroad is for first-year students during the spring semester (on campus) and spring break (abroad). Students will gain international experience during their first year, develop a cohort of peers, get to know a faculty member, and begin forming academic and professional careers with an international perspective. A background in chemistry is neither required nor necessary. 

A hybrid option is available. Registering in advance for the meeting is required to receive the Zoom link.
