The University of Minnesota's Orientation and Transition Experiences is accepting applications for 2024 Welcome Week Leader and Welcome Week Assistant positions. Welcome Week focuses on providing a quality transitional experience for new students and helps new students prepare for their life at the University of Minnesota through planning, exploring campus, building community, and participating in campus traditions.
Welcome Week Leader
Leaders will have the opportunity to develop valuable leadership skills, practice inclusive communication and facilitation strategies, and help create a welcoming, inclusive environment and seamless transition for the incoming Class of 2028, as well as transfer students.

Welcome Week Assistant
Position qualifications:
Cumulative GPA of 2.3 or higher Enrolled full time (13 credits) as an undergraduate student through Fall 2024 semester Good judicial standing with Office of Community Standards and Housing and Residential Life Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Be available for at least two or more shifts during Welcome Week Complete all required online and in-person training

Welcome Week Assistants are a team of volunteers who help to create a welcoming and inclusive environment during Welcome Week.
